Santa Claus Contest

Va multumesc tuturor celor care ati participat, citit si votat la acest concurs. Toate povestile au fost interesante si mi-a facut mare placere sa le citesc si sa le gazduiesc la mine pe blog.

Acest concurs a fost totodata si un experiment pentru mine. Alaturi de partile bune, mi-am dat seama si de unele greseli pe care le-am facut ca organizator. De exemplu faptul ca am permis ca povestile sa fie postate in doua limbi: romana si engleza, lucru care a facut dificila citirea lor. Adica, daca vorbitorii de limba romana au putut sa citeasca povestile scrise in engleza, vorbitorii de limba engleza nu au avut cum sa citeasca povestile scrise in limba romana.

Deasemenea am uitat sa postez din prima zi povestea unui concurent, si pentru asta imi cer scuze inca o data. Nu in ultimul rand, sistemul de votare prin poll nu s-a potrivit prea bine acestui tip de concurs. La urmatorul concurs voi posta povestile in aceeasi limba si voi schimba sistemul de vot. Poate va fi prin juriu, printr-un numar de puncte sau note.

Multumesc inca o data tuturor participantilor, si asa cum v-am promis, de Craciun veti vedea povestea lui Andrew ilustrata pe acest blog.

Pentru ca au fost povesti scrise in doua limbi, si a castigat cea scrisa in engleza, voi ilustra si povestea cea mai votata dintre cele scrise in limba romana, adica povestea cu nr. 9- de Adra Tatu

Thanks to all who participated at the contest, read the stories and voted. All the stories were interesting and it was my pleasure to read and host them on my blog.

This competition was also a experiment for me. Along with the good things, I also noticed some mistakes that I made as an organizer. For example the fact that I allowed the stories to be posted in two languages: Romanian and English, which made them difficult to be read. I mean, if Romanian speakers were able to read stories written in English, English speakers couldn’t read the stories written in Romanian.

Also I forgot to post on the first day, the story of a participant, and for that I apologize once again. Last but not least, the system of voting by poll did not match very well with this type of contest. On the next contest I will post the stories in the same language and I’ll change the voting system. Perhaps it will be by jury, or by a number of points or marks.

Thanks again to all participants, and as I promised, on Christmas you will see Andrew’s story illustrated on this blog.

Because the stories have been written in two languages, and won the one written in English, I will also illustrate the story written in Romanian which got the biggest rating: no 9 by Adra Tatu.

UPDATE: Am un mesaj pentru trei autori si anume: Enya, Great Cartoons si Leo care vor trebui sa isi ilustreze singure povestile scrise. Sunt foarte reusite si ar fi o mare pierdere sa nu fie ilustrate chiar de cele care le-au conceput si care se pricep de minune sa si deseneze. VA URMARESC!

The contest ” Santa Claus Behind Bars”

Here is what you have to do:

Send me to the address roxanasoare@ymail.com a very short story, inspired by my drawing, that describes how did Santa end up behind bars. I will read the stories and put all of them on my blog. You should send me the story until December 18. Until December 21, you must vote the story you like most. I will adapt and illustrate the winner story and I will post it on my blog on Christmas Eve, December 24.

Conditions:

The Comic will be published only on my blog and on the winner’s blog (if the winner wants it and if has a blog). The story must be short, it has to describe a action and have no more than one page. Do not send indications for drawings. I will adapt the story to illustrate it in a comic like this: The President’s Secret File. Participation in this Christmas competition implies that you gave the consent that the story will be adapted in the conditions described. Everyone can participate, and the stories can be written in Romanian or in English.

Concursul “Mos Craciun in spatele gratiilor“

Iata ce trebuie sa faceti:

Sa imi trimiteti pe adresa roxanasoare@ymail.com o povestioara foarte scurta, inspirata de desenul meu, in care descrieti cum a ajuns Mosul in spatele gratiilor. Eu voi citi povestile si le voi pune pe blog. Trebuie sa imi trimiteti povestea pana pe 18 dec 09. Apoi pana pe data de 21 decembrie 2009 , trebuie sa votati povestea care va place cel mai mult. Eu voi adapta si ilustra povestea castigatoare si o voi posta la mine pe blog in Ajunul Craciunului, pe data de 24 decembrie 2009.

Conditii:

Comicul va fi publicat doar pe blogul meu si pe blogul castigatorului daca doreste si daca are blog. Povestea trebuie sa fie scurta, sa descrie o singura intamplare si sa aiba cel mult o pagina. Nu imi trimiteti indicatii pentru desene. Eu voi adapta povestea ca sa o pot ilustra intr-un comic de acest gen: The President’s Secret File. Participarea la acest concurs de Craciun presupune ca va dati acordul ca povestea sa fie adaptata in conditiile descrise. Toata lumea poate participa, iar povestile pot fi scrise in romana sau in engleza.
