When I first saw the topic “Paisley” on Illustration Friday, I said to myself: “Hey, for how long I haven’t done anything decorative without characters, without objects and without action.” So I decided to draw just a decorative paisley texture, very elaborate and with many details.
And while I was making my sketch, I thought: “Are there people obsessed with Paisley? How looks like a man obsessed with paisley fabrics? A man who dresses in pink paisley pants, has brown paisley wallpaper wall, paisley pillows on the bed, and which his maid is dressed in a purple paisley apron. And that’s how I turned my purely decorative paisley fabrics drawing into a purely drawing about people who have paisley fetish. I worked on it for several hours, and every time I became inpatient, I went to play with Bruno or eat some cherries, then came back at my drawing. When drawing at the paisley bedding, even had to make a big break and start another drawing to get free of that nagging details.
