Immovable and Frozen

Even if I was born in midwinter, I hate cold weather. Last weekend, Summer suddenly disappeared like a very rude girl. I was left frozen, immovable and sad. I put a lot of clothes on me and I am waiting for the  next summer days with 40 degrees.

I made this “immovable” portrait for Illustration Friday.

Sa ramana toamna in loc.

  3. History: The company got its start in the postwar patio capitol of Pasadena in 1945. Founders Robert Brown and Hubert Jordan were apparently the first company to create furniture for full time outdoor use. Brown Jordan’s earliest designs were constructed of tubular aluminum and vinyl lace appropriately called Leisure, and marked the beginnings of a new kind of outdoor furniture. Today, the company offers more than 30 collections in a range of styles, from classic to modern. This is Brown Jordan’s second year in the Readers’ Choice contest.

  4. Overall the food was very good. We tried the prosciutto and mellon appetizer which was great! Our daughter had spaghetti and meatballs the sauce was good, a bit tangy. The meatballs were OK but not great. I had a pork tenderloin caprese dish that was quite enjoyable. The wine was from the $35 category (as mentioned by a prior reviewer they only offer $35, $45, and $55 and up, with several. more >We visited on 8/12/12, having made a reservation in advance, though it was likely not necessary. Since it was a Saturday Little Italy’s streets were closed off to vehicles, which adds to the ambience. However, finding a taxi to take you near to Mulberry can be difficult, as the drivers do not want to go near. I am surprised to see several poor reviews since we had a nice, enjoyable time here. But, I will say that when we visit NYC we tend to lower our expectations for new places, and so, this one was better than expected. We sat outside along the street so we could enjoy the warm weather.
